We Built A Race Bagger In Two Days! Here's Everything We Used:

Tucker Speed Takes the Win at the 2025 Drag Specialties NVP Race Bagger Build-Off

Turning Stock into Super Street in Just 2 Days

At the Drag Specialties 2025 NVP Dealer Convention, we got the call every performance shop dreams about — a chance to go head-to-head in a live bike build-off competition. Only two shops were invited to the main stage: Tucker Speed (Team Purple) and Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson (Team Red).

The challenge? Take a bone-stock Harley-Davidson bagger and transform it into a BRL Super Street race bike in just two days, live in front of the entire convention. No hiding, no editing, no second chances. Just three-man crews, 48 hours, and pure horsepower.

We showed up with a stock 2017 Street Glide ready to wrench, ready to hustle, and ready to prove that Tucker Speed doesn’t just talk performance — we build it.

The Build

From Bare Bones to Race-Ready

Day one kicked off with a full tear-down. Every unnecessary ounce of weight had to go. Stripped down to the essentials, we prepped the stock Harley for a serious attitude adjustment.

Horsepower & Performance

You can’t roll into the Bagger Racing League Super Street class without big power. Our recipe for race-ready horsepower included:

This combo delivered exactly what we needed: hard-hitting throttle response, more horsepower, and durability to take the abuse of track duty.

Handling the Corners

Horsepower is useless if you can’t keep it on the track. That’s why we upgraded the suspension with race-proven parts:

The result? A bagger that could carve corners like a sport bike but still put the power down on the straights.

Braking with Confidence

To match the speed, we needed serious stopping power. We bolted up:

Because when you’re flying down the straight at full send, you want brakes that hit just as hard as the throttle.

Race-Day Controls

The rider cockpit had to be just as dialed as the drivetrain. We added:

Every control was built for precision and performance, making sure the rider could command the bike with ease.

Team Purple vs. Team Red

All weekend long, crowds packed in to watch both teams thrash. Suburban Motors (Team Red) came in swinging with their own race-ready setup, but we kept our heads down and pushed through every deadline.

When the dust settled, two wild baggers sat on the floor — but only one could take the win.

And the Winner Is…

When the attendees cast their votes, Team Purple stood tall. Tucker Speed took home the win!

This wasn’t just about bragging rights. It was about showing the Harley world that Tucker Speed knows how to build a race bike that performs, handles, and wins.

Closing Thoughts

The 2025 NVP Build-Off was proof that Tucker Speed doesn’t just build bikes — we build race winners. From turbo kits to suspension and everything in between, we’ve got the parts, the know-how, and the experience to help you transform your Harley into something truly savage.

So whether you’re lining up on the grid or just want to outrun ordinary on the street, we’ve got you covered.

Beautiful bike, where did you get the road glide fairing? I have a 2017 Street glide I would like to put RG fairing on.
